Various studies indicate a link between the level of intelligence (IQ) of someone with his health. In the case of the mental health of young men known to have a low IQ is more at risk for suicide than their peers who are smarter.
The conclusion is based on an analysis of the 1.1 million Swedish men. Although there is no mention of low intelligence lead to suicide but actually two things are related.
In that study Finn Rasmussen, and his team examined data that he was born between the years 1950 to 1976. The respondents are undergoing physical and mental examination. Then they monitored the health history until 24 years later.
Known to 1.6 percent (about 17 736 men) admitted they had been admitted to hospital for suicide attempts. After comparing with the economic status of the respondents note that their low IQ has nine times higher risk to end his own life.
Unfortunately there is no mention how the influence of intelligence on the suicidal. The literature mentions that regular exercise effective treatment for depression. Untreated depression can lead to suicidal behavior.
